We are only a few weeks away from finding out who the nominees are for this year’s Academy Awards. One person that I am hoping will be up for a best actor nod is Clint Eastwood in his work for “Gran Torino.” Yes, he will probably be nominated for best director like he usually is, however his directing accomplishments always seem to overshadow his acting talent. Eastwood is an excellent actor with great depth and multiple layers who can go from mean and crusty, to gentle and caring with no problem at all. I’m sure that Eastwood will get an acting nod, but he should also win. It is time that Clint Eastwood has gotten his due as one of the greatest film actors of all time.
